For those who were wondering--Rocky was a lot of fun, and I went butch, and was very glad I did. About 30 of us (mostly newbies) took over the first row, and screamed things at the screen, threw rice and toilet paper, and sang along with the film. This cements that little idea that sprouted in my head, that I need to do more things involving large groups of people who are into things I like, or support things that I do (like the breast cancer walk from the week before). It helps with that "I'm a freeeeak" feeling. :)
In other news, I'm plotting my nano, and would like to throw some feelers out to the lot of you: does anyone want to collaborate, and do half-a-novel each? I've got characters and a setting, but no plot, and no plot coming. I can see alternating chapters, or doing it in epistolary/diary entry format, or whatever works best, really.
Right now, it's shaping up to be rather light hearted. It all begins when the girls from last year's attempt at a novel find a baby on their doorstep...for the fourth time in 6 years. I'm going for a Maud-Hart-Lovelace-meets-F.L.-Block sort of vibe, a happy family story that happens to have two moms, and probably some red tape from the Seelie court.
