Ros-ie's back...ALL RIGHT!

Dec 06, 2004 14:20

Okay, baaaaad reference, but I was at my company's christmas party on Saturday night and they played a lot of nostalgic music. If you hadn't guessed, "Backstreet's Back" was a much-talked-about hit at said party. Anyway, I'm still not sure I like writing on this thing. I feel like I'm supposed to say cataclismic and shattering things in an attempt to make the entries not so boring. However, I don't really want to type a bunch of really deep stuff, because I'm under the impression no one really likes to read a whole bunch about, well, just me. So, I'll be trying to find a happy medium.

Life has really changed since graduation. It's not all bad, although looking back at my entries, I guess I thought I was facing the end of the world. Ah, well, that's me. My apologies to those who foun that frustrating. My thanks to those who gave me words of encouragement anyway.

Well, I've got a new job. I've been here for a little over two months. I sometimes miss where I used to work--it was my first real, fulltime, salaried position. But I'm really happy where I am. There are lots of nice people, and they actually go to lunch together, or sometimes get together outside of work. In my first week, I was asked out to lunch three times, as opposed to the old job where we went out for lunch three times total in the entire year I worked there. I do miss Kira, though, she was the best mentor, workmate, and friend combination I ever had. One of the smartest people in the world, too.

I moved, also. I'm no longer in Pleasantville (aka Celebration). I'm now in a really nice apartment closer to the University (which is about 5 miles from where I work). I live with two random guys who are both very nice. I do have to share a bathroom with a dude, and that I don't like. However, it's good to have people around and I really like that I'm starting to make friends outside of school.

I met a new friend who is amazing, although she and I got a wee bit too drunk last Friday and spent all day Saturday sick as hell. Last night I went on a date. He was nice, handsom, and knew how to engage in conversation.

Let's see, that's all I'll say for now, lest I bore everyone in my attempt to catch up on the last several months.
