There's only one little part that's different.

I made a pair of Fetching last week and took it in to my knitting group that is held at the LYS. The owner of the store loved them so much that she asked me to make a pair for display in the store. She doesn't carry Cashmerino in Aran, but she had DK, so she gave me a ball of that. It's a little darker green than the color used in the pattern. I used us6 needles with the DK, so the fabric is a little floppier than intended and they are a little smaller than my first pair. If anyone wants them to fit smaller hands, I recommend using the DK weight. I really liked working with this yarn, even though it was a little sticky on my bamboo needles. They don't feel especially soft if you're just petting them, but when you put them on they feel great!

This is how much yarn I had left over. It's quite a lot, so I am making a gauge swatch for the store owner to have out for people to see how it knits up. I love seeing swatches of yarns before I buy them and I figured this was the best way to use up the rest.

After seeing my pair of Fetching and a Spiral Rib hat that I made last week, a couple of girls at my work asked me to make them sets. This is the yarn (and the first seven rows of the hat) for one of them. It's Cascade Quatro.

The real story behind the Sierra.....

I actually got this hank of Sierra for making the pair of Fetching for Ricky. I was terrified that someone would scream "Copyright infringement! You're getting paid to make those gloves and it's not your pattern!!!", so I kinda left that out of my post in the knitting community. I didn't offer to make the gloves and I agreed before she even told me that she was giving me a free hank of yarn. So, now you know my dirty little secret. :p
