Dear Yuletide Writer

I am fairly easy to please in most ways. Getting a story all my own would just make me ridiculously happy. The only way I'm picky is that I tend to find a trend of "same old same old" in my chosen teeny fandoms. I hope that doesn't throw you off too much.

Down to specifics.

Alexander Key's Witch Mountain books don't get a lot of attention from ficcers. There are less than a dozen fan fics over all anywhere I've ever found, and half of them are crossovers. These stories were one of my first loves as a fandom. Tia and Tony are the quintessential siblings to me. They both have their strengths and weaknesses, but support one another so completely. So whatever other characters and events are going on, the relationship between these two is the key. And I've always been fond of Father O'Day and his mysterious understanding of Witch Mountain. Alexander Key's world tends to be a little dark and hostile, which many people forget because of the Disney treatment.

Everyone knows I'm a Scarlet Pimpernel fangirl, and my heart belongs to Armand St. Just. And really, almost any story except the obligatory Marguerite/Percy fluff tends to make me happy. But--I am ashamed to say this--Rule 34 has let me down. And I can't write it myself, so maybe it is un-writable. I got as close as I could but couldn't cross a certain line. But in a setting where I have seen such improbable things as a lesbian Suzanne hitting on a completely gay Armand because she couldn't get his sister into bed or Percy sleeping with most of the League serial or in en masse, surely there's some room for Armand St. Just and Armand Chauvelin? Yes, they are both canonically straight, but so are most of the people I mentioned above. The potential for a weird power dynamic has me riveted. And really if this proves impossible, don't fret, my dear writer. I would be happy with almost anything.

My Gankutsuou hopes are very simple... something about Albert and Franz, but not set on the night before Albert's sixteenth birthday. It's been done to death. They are portrayed as such good friends (with Eugenie too), but the anime has so little room to expound on that story.

My Vorkosigan request is pretty simple too. Ivan is the black sheep of the Vor. He's never as stupid as he pretends. Just feature him in something. Not a side character. Not the butt of Miles's wit. Just being what he is capable of being, a competent and loyal Vor male and subject of the Imperium.
