The Drying Out Saga

Sep 07, 2006 06:30

First of all, as some of you know, the cars started at the garage. The mechanic told Chris he couldn't do anything else. When Chris goes to pick up my car (he has time this morning while I have to be at work), he is going with a list of questions. I am a bit suspicious of no information about looking at the engines or the wiring or the exhaust systems. We both saw water running out of our tailpipes when the cars were towed. Technically, Chris's car may still be totalled because the insurance company gets to say, but mine may be good for a few months more yet anyway.

Second of all, we still have no hot water or stove. I bought some charcoal, but grilling may be a problem unless we find some way to light our deck after dark. Apparently the big light is on the downstairs circuits. But last night I remembered the crock pots and we can wash dishes and fill a sink with hot water using my electric hotpot.

Does anyone local know who can clean, advise or otherwise assist in getting my car sanitary enough to drive?
