Nanowrimo Shame

Well...I didn't make it...day thirty came around and I was at a paltry 30,000 words. But still, Blood Will Tell, the unconventional vampire novel I'm writing with Jeffrey Lyman, is pushing 45000 words right now thanks to that little goose from competing. I've slacked off a bit, mostly due to schedule conflicts and a problem with my elbow that is agravated by mouse use. I'm ready to swap the mouse to the other side, though and get back on track.

Last night one of my friends Chris Stuppi, of Griffon's Claw Armoury, was here and read a bit of the story from the viewpoint of a character based on him and he seems to think its going well, which always galvanizes me a bit.

Of course, I have two articles for the The Complete Writers Guide to Paranormal and a novella, The Halfling's Court: A Bad-Ass Faerie Tale, that I have to finish by February, so I might have to focus on a few other things besides the novel :::sigh:::

If you haven't checked it out, head over to the Blood Will Tell website and give a read to the excerpts I have posted over there. If you do, don't forget to let me know what you think!

Best,

Danielle
