oh not at all! i am trying to go to central america this summer for a month or two or maybe more, depending on my immigration status as an alien here, so we will see...let me know what you're up to :)
thats really cool! well i'm 16 now.. but i plan on leaving and traveling when i'm 18, so i figured i might as well start learning and speaking to other travelers. if you dont mind me asking a few questions, how old were you when you began? are you currently employed? if so what job do you have and do you know of any other types which allow you to have many days off for traveling? and how did you get into traveling? thanks ;]
ohh i see...i started traveling when i was 17: scotland, ulster and ireland by train and boat...with a friend my age and an older one...i was in high school, i would work for 2 months in the summer and then travel for one month. now i am in grad school in florida and i managed to save some $ and i am giving myself a graduation present, plus i need a break...but teaching would be the best job: good pay, 3 months off in the summer! :) i got into traveling...by traveling i think! it just randomly happened i believe...i am just very curious and i wanted to see places and how people live and stuff, i don't know :)
haha cool of course at the time i had no clue i wanted to be a teacher...but where else can you get 30 grands/year and have 3 months off in the summer?? :) it's the best deal i know.
hahahh yeah. well i'm stuck in between doing that and joining some volunteering organization, i'd really love to the latter. see my whole problem is, when i'm 18 i'll already be in college, and my parents wont let me travel in the summer. a part of me doesnt want to stick around for 4 years to go to college, just travel and see later on if i'd like to go back to college. so i'm having problems figuring that one out.
