Game of Thrones questions
So I began rereading Game of Thrones, in anticipation that Dance with Dragons is coming out soon. I know i need to reread the whole series or I will be lost. So i noticed a couple of things that i'm not sure i had thought about before. Did Lady Arryn murder Jon? Is his murderer ever accurately named? If not, I would argue it was his wife. Everyone thinks he was supposed to be Tywin's steward (i think), but when Caetlyn brings this up she is corrected. I believe it is her uncle that insists the boy was to be sent to Dragonstone. (I could have these names wrong). That Jon had agreed to send the boy away before Jon was killed. Couple this with her threatening to kill Caetlyn if she "tried to steal" the boy, leaves me wondering if she didn't murder he husband. Also, is Lyanna's secret promise from Ned ever revealed? I just read his chapter where he is stuck in the dungeon, and having hallucinations. He remembers a tournament where Rhaegar spurns his wife to give Lyanna a laurel of roses signifying the queen's beauty. Did Lyanna and Rhaegar have a child together? Is that child Jon Snow? Later in the same chapter Varys says that if Ned pleads guilty to treason he would be allowed to take the black and see Jon again. Ned's thoughts are about how ashamed he is (seemingly at what he has done to Jon Snow), and wishes he had a day to sit down and explain things to him. Lyanna made Ned promise her something on her deathbed. I wonder if Snow is actually half Stark half Dragon.
