[Exclusive Interview: Derrick Raaz and Tirisfal Farinox]

Dec 01, 2007 20:24

Hello everyone, this is the D’Amantru News Network live from our studio in Ametiton. A few months ago we ran an exclusive interview with Mister Derrick Raaz and one a few days later with Miss Tirisfal Farinox. Since then, things have changed, but we’ll get to that shortly. Today we have Mister Derrick Raaz and Mrs. Tirisfal Farinox in the studio. Mister Raaz, Mrs. Farinox, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to come down here again.

Raaz: It's no problem at all. It's unbecoming if I don't pull myself away from my desk all the time.

Farinox: Or if I don't pull you away from the desk. *laughs gently* But I agree with Raaz, it's no problem at all. We should be the ones apologizing for the guards filling up the studio.

Actually they make a nice studio audience and match the decor nicely. But to begin, congratulations on your recent marriage.

Raaz: I'm sure they'll love that comment. *laughs* And thank you very much. I think Akula summed everyone's sentiments up quite nicely in his toast.

Yes, I think many people would agree it's "about bloody time" you both admitted your feelings for each other.

Farinox: I agree with that sentiment too. *smiles and gives Raaz's hand a gentle squeeze* Shame on you for taking so long to propose.

Raaz: Oh, come now. It's not like it's any easier for a vampire than it is for anyone else. *gives a joking huff* But that doesn't matter at this point, does it?

Farinox: I suppose not. *smiles gently*

The two of you look wonderful together.

Farinox: My, that sounds like a familiar statement. *laughs*

Raaz: Yes, how many times have we heard that now? *laughs as well, smiling as he shifts slightly in his seat*

The world has watched your relationship for the last thousand years or so now. Though there is a question that must be answered; at the last interview, both of you stated the nature and status of your friendship was "close friends" only and you did not foresee any developments toward anything in the future. What changed?

Raaz:...Probably the intervention of a certain silver-haired vampire.

Farinox: Yes, it really was due to Akula. He's such a meddler, but well, I for one am glad he spoke up. But you can hardly accuse us of lying or anything; after all, this was a development we had not seen at the time.

A fair enough answer. You seem to give Akula a lot of credit. While he is the enigma of D'Amantru, the three of you seem to have a fair relationship. Care to shed any insight?

Farinox: This is a question far better for Raaz to answer. *looks over at him expectantly*

Raaz: For the sake of my continued good health, he is going to remain an enigma.

Not even a hint?

Raaz: Not a single one.

I suppose vampires must keep their secrets after all. Moving onward, the two of you have now been married for a month. Have there been any changes?

Farinox: None at all. Derrick is still the same hard-working gentleman I've been in love with all these years. Though I'm working on getting him out more. It's a slow process.

Raaz: Slow is putting it lightly. The holidays are coming up and business is picking up quite a bit. It amazes me she manages to get me away at all sometimes.

Farinox: Christmas shopping will be fun this year. I refuse to let his guards do it for him.

Raaz: I still think it would be easier.

Farinox: You're missing out on a lot of fun that way~

Inquiring minds must know; just what does someone get the man who has almost everything?

Farinox: Warm and comfortable socks.

Raaz: *can't help but to chuckle* No, you can't go wrong with comfortable clothing. I'm sure everyone heard about Miss Solana's Halloween party.

Actually, we have not. Care to elaborate?

Raaz:...I do believe I'm going to keep quiet on that subject, in that case.

Farinox: I won't~ Just imagine the finely dressed gentleman next to me dressed in jeans and sneakers. And shirtless. ...Well, he had a t-shirt on for part of the night.

Raaz: *sputters*

Farinox:....The fine body of Derrick Raaz clad in jeans was an amazing sight to behold.

I'm certain it was. Did you have any trouble keeping other women off of him?

Farinox: Oh no, not at all; the guards kept him nicely surrounded. But there were admirers from afar.

Raaz: *coughs and adjusts his tie*

Mister Raaz, your turn to answer the question; what does someone get the woman who has almost everything?

Raaz: Time alone with her husband.

Farinox: And this is why my husband is perfect. *blows him a kiss*

*laughs* Men, take note here; he speaks the truth. Now for the subject of business, Mr. Raaz, I think we all know about you and your companies, and Mrs. Farinox, the latest interview brought form your orphanage. Any plans on combining the two businesses?

Raaz: We haven't discussed it. And I didn't actually plan on bringing it up, since it was her endeavor to begin with. If Tirisfal wants to bring it into my many businesses, it would be her choice.

Farinox: It's something I've considered, but I think for the time-being, our businesses will remain separate from each other. Right now I think the less shifts and changes there are, the better it is for the children.

Understandable. And on the more personal sides of things, any plans for a family?

Raaz:...Also something we haven't discussed.

Farinox: We have a few birds, if that counts for anything. And a cat.

Raaz: Yes, and the cat is a bit of a handful at times.

Farinox: But then, cats will be cats. But aside from the cat and the birds, no, there are no current plans for any children. Though I like to think all the children at the orphanage are my own.

Any other plans for the future?

Raaz: A nice Christmas, for one. Maybe a vacation or two. *grins*

Farinox: Some proper rest and relaxation. And yes, a nice Christmas together.

A sound idea. Now for some fun, a few assorted questions?

Farinox: Yes, but nothing too embarrassing.

Raaz: Agreed. Please, ask away.

Your thoughts on the Empire?

Farinox: Am I allowed to say my thoughts here without getting in trouble? *laughs* Well, I think some ideas are in need of some... revamping. I abhor slavery, but I believe arresting people for associations with slavers is too far. I also disagree with the raids happening on homes.

Raaz: I've stated my position on the Delphin Empire many times, and it still stands. They're a bunch of pompous windbags.

Your thoughts on arena combat?

Farinox: A shame that people see such senseless violence as entertainment.

Raaz: Such entertainment is archaic, even to me. Gladiatorial battles should have long been done away with.

The mountains or the beach?

Farinox: The beach.

Raaz: Either or.

Chocolate or vanilla?

Farinox: Chocolate.

Raaz: Vanilla.

Sleeping in late or staying up late?

Farinox: Ohhh, can't I do both?

Raaz: I tend to favor staying up late.

Spring or Summer?

Farinox: Summer.

Raaz: The same.

Fall or Winter?

Farinox: Fall.

Raaz: Also the same.

One piece or bikini?

Farinox: *slyly glances over at Raaz* ...He's answering first.

Raaz: *brow twitches* Swim trunks.

The movies or the theater?

Farinox: Theater. Much more entertaining and there's so much more talent too.

Raaz: Either or, for myself.

Coffee or tea?

Farinox:......Coffee.

Raaz: Tea.

Roses or tulips?

Farinox:........................Tulips.

Raaz: The same.

A long novel or a series of short stories?

Farinox: Both. Each one has their own merit and appeal.

Raaz: Agreed.

I think those are all the questions. Do either of you have any additional comments to make? No need to be shy.

Raaz:...I can’t think of anything. Can you, Tirisfal?

Farinox: Be happy, enjoy life, and never be afraid to admit your feelings to someone. And always brush your teeth, eat your veggies, and exercise 20 minutes a day. Ice cream is the best comfort food, always take time to pamper and spoil yourself, and invest in a good camera. The pictures are worth it.

*laughs and nods*

Farinox: I think that's all. *pauses and smiles* .........No, wait, one more thing. *leans over and kisses Raaz*

Raaz: *blinks as Tiri kisses him, but does not protest*

I think that's a proper end to things. Mr. Raaz, Mrs. Farinox, may the both of you have long, happy years ahead.

Raaz: Thank you very much. *smiles*

Farinox: Yes, thank you. *beams*

And that is all the time we have tonight. Once more, we thank the two of you for the interview. This is D'Amantru News Network, wishing all of you a very good night and a happy holidays.
