4th Movement

Therapy was hard today. I was really frustrated and starting yelling at my therapist. I know I shouldn't have, but it was one set back after another. Eventually, we both knew there wasn't anything to be done today and he sent me home.

...Some days, it's hard to have hope.

therapy, this is terrible

The curve of recovery is not as smooth as it looks on paper. Even though some days it feels as though you are not making progress, be sure to keep the larger graph in mind.

If tennis taught me anything, there is always hope. If not for now, then for the future.

Yes, I know that, but some days, I wonder if I'm just being unrealistic. The doctors say I should just use the wheelchair and be done with it.

Then you stand up, look them in the eye and tell them that Hyoutei does not quit. Even when we should, even when we fail. You are Hyoutei, Choutarou. If you remember one thing, never forget that.

[ooc: Now I am going to have that song stuck in my head. Oh, well, it's a good song!]

I wish I could have your confidence, Atobe-san.

Yes, well...if I could give some to you, I would. I think, like the rest of you, your confidence took a pounding when that building fell on you. But, also like your body, it will heal. Eventually. You just have to keep going until it does.

[ooc: The famous, "Fake it until you make it!" Speech one of my sisters gave me once :D It is...surprisingly effective.]

Would you be interested and coming over to my Tokyo residence after the Obon Festival to watch fireworks with a couple old friends?
