In the same fashion as has come to be tradition, I post on the cusp of my departure from Pennsylvania: the real world.
If only I could awake and be at the beginning of my leave again, for I feel like so much more needs to be done.
I will keep this one brief; forever waning is the time I have left in my northern paradise of sorts.
Christmas Eve was everything I'd hoped for, and I owe my family a great deal for the hospitality they've shown me. New Years was similarly splendid, other than having to sleep on Jim's couch, and I owe everyone in attendance a hearty thank you. Derek and Alexis, thank you for taking the time to see me as much as you did. It meant a lot.
Pat, thank you for seeing me as much as you did. I'm sorry we didn't get to make more of it. Sara is very charming, and I can understand what you see in her; it's readily apparent.
Carrie, I'm glad I got to see you, and say my goodbyes. As always, I'm going to miss you so much more than the framework of words, spoken or written, can confer, but I trust that you understand. It's always nice to sit down and talk, like we did, and just relate to someone in a way that I feel like I can't anymore. I hope the rest of your break goes well, Kiddo, and I will stay in touch.
