I just got back from seeing Doom.

I liked it, a lot. I felt that it paid due homage to it's First Person Shooter roots, while implementing a decent enough story. I won't deny that it had a ton of cliche moments, but that was fair enough. I thought the whole part with the hero was corny enough, but you can't win 'em all.

All in all, a superb

Did you notice the large zit/mole thing above the hero dude's right eyebrow? It should have had its own zip code.

I thought it was entertaining, but not great. OC, I was drunk for most of it.

I don't think it was a zit, but rather some sort of wart. Who knows, though. I believe he may have had it in the Bourne Supremacy, but it was artfully covered by makeup and sunglasses for most of the movie.

I liked it, but I didn't think it was a masterpiece. Definitely a good video-game-to-movie conversation. Especially the First Person sequence. That made the whole move for me. Especially the chainsaw bit.
