So, because I love Scarlett Johansson more than life itself, I bought A Love Song for Bobby Long, and am watching it.
It's shot and set in New Orleans. Earlier today, I realized that I am among a few thousand people (the last few thousand people) to enjoy New Orleans for a good long time. It is utterly wrecked down there, and I got to see it at it's best, because it will not be the same for at least a few more years.
So I'm watching this movie, and there's standing outside of Angeli's, on Decateur. I ate there right before I left to return. I had a Calzone with mozzarella and feta cheese, and ham. And it was delicious. It was the only decent Italian food I could find down here. And I will probably never be able to eat there again.
It just struck a chord in me is all. I'm glad a movie with a beauty I love so much can capture a particular memory of mine that was so recently destroyed.
