Wooo! Well, I've been so busy with knitting, crochetting, sewing, etc. (this list could go on for ever) and uni of course these past month. Yet because of / thanks to the strike (delete as appropriate) I didn't go to class much. Considering that I only had classes on monday and wednesday... I had a lot of free time! Free time that I used extremely wisely (see above list.)
I feel that I'm kind of punished now though because I have to work (ugliest word in every language I know). I'm on a training period in a publishing house (
Gründ). They publish children's book (Where's Wally? that's so cool!! There's a picture of him in the elevator!) and coffee table books mostly (I love that name, it really sounds like crappy stuff!). That's pretty interesting because it's one of the few publishing house where you can actually work on translations and not only do proof reading (I had to do some and it's boring as hell). Since I started, I translated a Jewish tale called the Golem that I quite enjoyed and the Snowman a "touch and feel" book for very young children. I'm happy BUT I have to work from 9am to 6pm!!! I'm so tired. I've never been to bed so early in ages!
Well... Among other things I saw Graham Coxon, Sonic Youth, Belle & Sebastien and a crazy Flaming Lips show with Santas representing the catholic faith and aliens representing scientology. I'll try to post pictures of me among smoke, balloons, confetti, streamer cannons and more!!
