Gigs
I had a great week if you do not take into account activities such as going to class, going to other people's house - people who do not even leave in Paris! - to work and doing my "homework" - sometimes they treat us like we're five years old especially in this class called "writing workshop" where they ask us to put french verbs in the right tense, what the hell is wrong with these people!!!
Anyway, I saw Dirty Pretty Things on Tuesday. There were two other bands with them: a French one called Stuck in the Sound which I quite liked, and King Biscuit Time - the guy from the Beta Band - which was a bit boring. DPT were really good even though I thought I was going to die, it was crazy, my legs were crushed against the stage and I ended up sitting on a monitor on the stage. Then I saw the band really well! Hedi Slimane was there - eeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! - and he took at least 10000000000000000000000000000 pictures. That was a good night. Yesterday I saw Rhesus and they're very good on stage and the Duke Spirit. The singer spoke to us in french, she seems to speak quite well, at least she has a good accent. I liked their performance but it was a little bit flat I thought.
Since I still haven't been paid my mum gave me some money to go and buy a new pair of jeans because my FCUK ones were definetly fucked - ha ha. I bought a pair of skinny jeans in H&M even though I'm not what you can call skinny but I think they look good on me anyway. I also bought some wool to knit a nice purple shrug.
I'm so happy we now have BBC Prime on the Freebox. I watched Ready, Steady, Cook! yesterday and they broadcast Location, Location!!!! Alias is back on french TV too (!!!) and i'm now going to watch the episodes I recorded last night.
