mmmmmmmmmmm vampires!
So - Lisa Lisa and I decided to go see Elizabeth the other day at the matinee.Have you been to a matinee lately?It was SEVEN FREAKIN DOLLARS to see a damn movie!Worth it, I guess. We didn't really feel like talking right when it was over - but later Pole and I hung out talked about it . Then Lisa and I (a day or two later) discussed it ... and really, it was a beautiful film. Only - I wish they'd have depicted more of the historical story ... not the love story. Visually = great
Lots of great characters ... but I don't think the focus was right.Too much re: virginal Elizabeth and Sir Walter Raleigh's relationship (or lack thereof).But ... overall, good.
For my ladies and other interested parties: Clive Owen (isn't that his name)= HOT.
Now if you've been around me lately you know about my most recent (possible unhealthy) interest: Vampires.
It's an old student of mine's fault ... young adult fiction!
If you've heard about or thought about reading this book.
Do It.
It's great reading - and fast ... but there are 3 book so far (apparently more are in the works) .. but this started the fascination.

However ... again, if you know me (Chase ... Chris Johnson (aka Boner)) then you know I scare really easily. And sometimes have a little trouble not peeing myself as a result.
*** ADDENDUM: DID NOT PEE MYSELF. ACTUALLY LAUGHED PROBABLY WHEN IT WAS INAPPROPRIATE TO DO SO IN THE THEATER. THANKS TO JOE and 95.7 JAMZ! WE WENT TO THE SNEAK PREVIEW ... THEY HAD METAL DETECTORS AND THE PIRACY POLICE THERE! BUT REALLY, MAKES ME LOVE THE IDEA OF VAMPIRES EVEN MORE. WOULD LIKE TO READ GRAPHIC NOVEL OF "30 DAYS OF NIGHT" NOW (ahem ... chelsea!)***
But now - thanks to the previews, I don't want to park in the parking deck of the Pickwick (see trailer for P2) ... also, want to re-read Beowulf ... and then want to see the movie. (Angelina Jolie's in to also ... hmmmmm - don't know what to think of that)
... or perhaps I should really start going to the Dollar Theater more
But what I'm saying is this - If you ever want to go to the movies ... give me a call or send a message. I think this might be my new thing/challenge (along with trying to read 3 books at one time)

Control (joy division) .... which I'm positive won't come here ... but I wanna see it!
