11 months now at the same job
I like the new manager I got at Sears. I asked him to move me to sales and he said yes as soon as I asked him. The last manager was a fucking cunt and everyone hated her. I asked her several times to move me to sales and she said she would set up an interview and what not and then nothing happened. The only reason I have not been moved to sales yet is that a replacement has to be found for me first or else they are screwed. There is a guy that already works there that wants to do it but his manager is being a dick and messing with the process because he doesn't want to lose a veteran employee during the holiday season which really won't change much since he has plenty of other guys that have worked there for a while and they are highering a shit load of new people in that department anyways. Oh well, my manager keeps on apoligizing for the delay on moving me but I understand the circumstances and I respect him for actually trying unlike the last manager who said she would and then seemed to have completely forgotten it even though we desperately need a spanish speaker in electronics. This is Southern California. One spanish speaking salesman isn't gonna cut it. Oh well, the new people they hired went through training but never showed up when it was time for them to be on the floor. At least Manny did it for a day or two before he quit his job. These guys never showed up. I am actually glad. One guy seemed gay and not that I have anything against gay people but that guy seemed flamboyantly gay and those guys get on my nerves. There is already one guy that annoys the hell out of me (and everyone else) in that department, I don't need another. Oh yeah, and that means that there are still plenty of spots open for me. Even if I don't get moved anytime soon, thats fine. I am not looking forward to the rabid customers during the after thanksgiving day sale anyways. Although it would be entertaining seeing people fall when they try to turn a corner to fast or two customers fighting for the same thing.
