(no subject)
We saw 300 today, it was amazing. I mostly saw it because I was along for the ride. Yeah, it looked interesting, but it also looked like something I could have waited to see on DVD. I'm so glad I didn't. It was like watching art for two hours. Some of it was beauteous art, and some of it was horrific, but it was wondrous all the same. The plot was riveting, the fight scenes orgasmic, and the dialogue left me begging for more. I want to go see it again...NOW! I think I need to start reading Frank Miller, or maybe just graphic novels, in general. V for Vendetta was awesome, as was Sin City. I think I'm missing out on a fantabulous genre.
I really want a poster with the tree of corpses. I know it sounds disgusting and terrible, but that shot held me in awe, and it was truly a magnificent sight to behold.
On a side note, LJ does not like "dialogue" and wants me to leave out the "ue" at the end. I happen to like it better with the added vowels. Much like I like "aeon" better than "eon" and "colour" better than "color". There's something about extra vowels that make a word look better.
On a quasi-related side note, I hate the word "buses"
