Moving!
Well put in my notification for vacating my apartment today, I have until the 31st or have to pay next month's rent. The good thing is my apartment is scheduled for remodeling so I don't have to worry about the management wanting to show the place to prospective tenants, although its kinda silly the place has to be spotless and the carpets shampooed even though they are going to do construction in here.
Still looking for a new place to live, going to get a call tonight by rental manager about putting in an application for a pretty decent place. Its kinda expensive and a top floor of a quad plex so no DDR, but its within walking distance of a large shopping center so hopefully Kal can find a job easily.
Oh, and I took apart my pokemon silver game. The battery was a pain to get out, the contacts were soldered on, but once I got it free it was indeed a regular calculator battery (not that i doubted it really with two friends telling me it was such). Went to the store and bought a new one for $3.88 and rubber banded it in to test it. Sure enough the game saves fine now. HOwever, had a bit of a problem securing the battery in the game. Tried to solder it back together but the solder just chipped off and i was worried about heating the battery up too much. Ended up using crazy glue, which, I think worked alright.. But while waiting for the glue to dry, I thought it best to put the game case back together so I didn't lose anything, mainly the screw, while taking the parts back to my place. So I tried fitting the case back together and immediately dropped the screw, losing it >_< After much searching I was able to find a screw in the basement that worked well enough thankfully. Game is safely back together now and saved, so I just gotta hope the glue holds well enough!
