Fiction Request
So, I like stories that have a hero who is honorable, strong, and kind, who helps out a woman who is independent but for one acceptable reason or another has to lean on the hero.
Lately I've been noticing that many of these stories are about how a relationship starts but don't go beyond that. I want more!
Examples of this type of hero character:
- Cliff of the Oversight committee (and now taking the Deputy Director post) on "The West Wing"
- Keanu Reeves' character, Paul Sutter, in "A Walk in the Clouds" (stop snickering, chiefted)
- Sky Captain in "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"
- Bobby Simone in "NYPD Blue" (or Sipowicz or John Clark)
Shoot. I know I'll think of plenty more examples after I post this. Anyway, suggestions are welcome! Published fic, romance novels, movies, slash/fanfic...it's all good.
