Around and and around we go!

I have come to the conclusion that the life is tidal, rather than circular. The important part is that, on the whole, it's fairly predictable in that the same handful of situations seem to repeat themselves over and over.

People do odd things when they're depressed. Some people eat cake. Some people decide to hack at themselves with various sharp objects. Some write terrible emo poetry expressing their deep anguish and hurt.

Fuck that.

I like to walk. The advantage of living in Willaston, in the middle of nowhere, is that there's lots of interesting places to get lost. Today I decided to follow the route of the Victorian railway that went through the now abandoned Hadlow Road Station. If you go far enough one way I know that you end up at Hooton, so I went the other.

At first it was, well, a bit crap. I hate what the concil has done to all the footpaths around here. I liked them more when they were good and muddy, but alas it is no more. After about an hour of walking, once you get out past the farms, it gets interesting. You go through what I can only imagine was large railway cutting. Moss covered brick walls loom up on either side of you making you feel as if you're in a small abandoned valley. It's quite cool.

I realise that I really like getting lost. You find all sorts of forgotten things while you try to forget about everything else.
