Such a Snob...
After listen to all of Lupe Fiasco 's new album and then a great deal of his old albums, I can now say that Lupe has made me a music snob.. This is very troubling.
I could not listen to any other rap artist for a full 3 hours after my marathon of Fiasco. I have never had that reaction to any 1 artist before. Well to be honest when I did listen to his songs ( for long periods of time) before this I would feel slightly dirty listening to my favorite " booty shakers ,fly bitches" rap songs. Only to be cured by some other insightful rap song. But it never happened to this extreme, where I can't listen to any rap song. I think I'm high off his music.
Though I can listen to other genres of music, thank God.
My head hurts from all the thinking his music makes me do. (which is sad)
He's new album ,while it has many die-hard fans of his upset, is not his creme de la creme , but it is a very well done album and it is enjoyable. Damn that makes it sound like I'm insulting it and I honestly can say I'm not. I liked it, it just too many it wasn't his greatest follow up to The Cool or Food and liquor. I understand that and mostly agree, but these things happen and I'm excited for a new and better album in the future.
I recommend some of ( in my opinion) the better songs of the album.
