Geez, I haven't posted here for a couple of weeks; I’ve been so busy lately with finishing final projects and taking final exams that I haven’t had much time for anything else. Good God, I am so glad to get out of high school(I graduate on the 13th)! I’m ecstatic to see this wave of new people joining and to see that people are making new posts

Yes, you're right. They really couldn't have gone into more detail about Tia's backstory because there were so many sub-plots and other loose ends to tie up.

I guess having her turn into crabs wasn't so bad looking back on it, but having her turn into a giant first was still pretty ridiculous.

I love that you look at her departure in such a positive way, I mean it really does leave the story open for people to wonder what's next for Tia/Calypso and to dream up a story of their own. I don't think she could ever be brought back if the POTC sequels continue, but that's why there's fanfiction.

Yeah, I would love it if Naomie would stumble upon this community somehow. She's such a great actress; ever since I tuned in to watch "28 Days Later" on TV one day I thought to myself what a strong and confident actress, and thought it would be awesome if she could work with Johnny Depp(always been a fan of his). Then ironically, I went on the imdb website to look for news about POTC 2(this was when it was in the beginning stages of production) and I saw that Naomie was listed as Tia Dalma. Of course, that early on I had know idea what the character would be like, but I was intrigued and I was always waiting for disney to release pictures of her.
