This is really odd; I think Tia Dalma was in my neck of the woods...

There's a small, manmade ( freshwater of course) lake that's about two miles from where I live where I go running pretty much on a daily basis. The lake is a little over a mile around, so I can keep track of just how much I run. There's lots of waterfowl around the lake, including pelicans, ducks, seagulls, grebes, geese, and coots. It's a really nice area ( see my personal journal for more pics) but today I found something creepy. Creepy in a good way seeing as how I am a Tia Dalma fan and fan of POTC.
I was running and I stepped on something that crunched under my foot. I thought, oh shit, it's some kind of big bug. I stopped and went back a few steps and looked down, and there were these two small, grayish CRAB CLAWS ( like the ones Tia tossed around LOL in her magic spells) lying there. There's no crabs that I know of in freshwater, and I live in Nevada, where we're surrounded by desert, mountains, and only fresh water rivers and Lake Tahoe a half hour away. It didn't look like the kind of crab that you can buy in a seafood store and eat.
So I thought, well, maybe Tia Dalma decided to practice a little magic at Virginia Lake here.
