(no subject)
Well, mom is actively trying to marry me off it seems. She dropped this gem on me today.
Mom - 'We need to have at talk.'
Me - 'Oh. OK. What's up.'
Mom - 'This is serious.'
Me - '...OK.'
Mom - '...I know this really nice woman who is looking for a husband.'
Me - 'LOL...what?'
Mom - 'Blah blah blah...receptionist at work...blah blah blah...perfect for you...blah blah blah...looking for a long term relationship...'
Me - '...no, seriously...what?'
Mom - `I want you to meet her.'
Me - 'This whole conversation is weird.'
I guess the deal is this girl (I have no clue what her name is or how old she is) came to Canada from Eritrea with her (possibly) ex-husband while the rest of the family went to the States and now the (possibly) ex-husband is (possibly) out of the picture.
I dunno, I'm not opposed to meeting the girl but I don't like the idea of having my Mom's expectations hanging over me as it seems she's already picked out a daughter-in-law.
