All carriers suck. Period. It's just a matter of figuring out which ones suck right for you.

Seriously, in this day and age, everyone has crap customer service, and everyone has flaws in their coverage. It's a matter of figuring out 1. how to game the system, and 2. what you can and can't tolerate.

I'm a Spring "premier" member (i.e. I spend a f-ton of money each month), so I get a better level of customer service. And, in the days before that, I had a pretty simple solution -- get an asstard? Hang up on them and call back. Repeat until I got someone with an IQ above 80, and then continue on. But it's an unfortunate fact of the world that people who are competent are usually NOT going to spend their lives in a menial customer service position any longer than they have to, and the scope of how big a lot of these companies are mean that they have to hire lots more people than are practical to staff at a level that would attract a decent candidate.

Verizon has the ultimate in coverage, but I have a much more economical deal for what I am using (data wise) with sprint. I will switch carriers to get what I want, not afraid of it, sprint is just what is working for me right now. YMMV.
