Here comes our travels around Zanzibar, apologies for quality of typing here the keyboard is very strange. Well we arrived in Zanzibar last week aand spent our first 2 nights in Stone Town, the capitala, although it may be called Zanzibar town. Here we went to Mwangapwani for some beach action. The beach was amazin, despite it raining,a and had our first swim in the Indian oceon which was amazing, the water is really clear and slightly warm, we spent ages just swimming around. Then we headed back to Stone town and had some Pizza at a place called Casablanca's then went on to find a club. We wnet to a place called Africa house, who informed us there were no clubs near by, so we stayed there. Managed to get myself some more free drinks by celebrating my birthday once again. Also met up with some I.B's (international bacheloreates) who we met in Lusaka. Stayed at Africa house till the bar closed at 12, then aupon leaving we heard nearby music and found a club 2 doors down. Got some dancin in, despite Jess's best attempt to ruin the night by stopping tracks. Watched the Ib's play some pool then we all headed back to our hostels. Stayed at the IB's place chattin till about 3 then headed home.

In the morning we headed off to the North of the island - Nungwei. Really nice place with an amazing restaurant called paradise and a nice cake shop. Also, to our surprise we met up with 6 other AV's (Jess,Lucy,Emma,Olivia - from St.Johns Lilongwe and Flora and Lucy from Malosa) they left that day though but was good to see them. they left that daya late, because the weather was really nice. We spent the evening in Paradise (teh jokes kept flowing about that place) I have been told the Red Snapper was particularly good.

Next day we hung around the beach just chilling out, played some scrabble had some cakea stuff like that. The next day we were moving on to the east coast but amanaged to buy a huige painting for a tenner and met 2 other AV's (Rosie and Woody) aand the IB's before leaving. We took a private hire minibus down to the east coast, unfortunatley this wasnt the best journey. The driver did 150km/h down a road adespite us telling him to slow down. then hit a bump then decided to take a dirt track corner far to fast lost control and nearly crashed into a shop. he recovered but when we got out at our hotel (the Twisted Palm) we only wanted to apay half because of his reckless driving, we had a big argument and they threatened to go to the police because we werent going to pay, so we reluctantlya paid and gave him a shouting, which was teh best option I feel. We then had a quite night at the Twisted palm the others headed to bedaa, me and Ally decided to try and find a bar, which we failed at but ended up playing some crazy air hockey meets pool game with some local kids. Also had a well jumpy trip back up the beach coz it was dark and dogs kept appearing out of nowhere scaring us. Then there was a chair that creeked for no reason and the door the agve resitance, overaall a very scay trip back, but fun none the less. teh next teh weather was miserable so me and Katie went to try and find internet, walked for about an hour down a deserted beach to find the internet was downa, so we played ludo and checkers instead. then traveled home. In teh eving we went to teh loacal town, found internet and chilled before coming home.

The following day we left Bwejuu (the east coast) and went to teh South of the Island Kimikadzi or summat and went on a Dolphin tour. First time I've seen dolphins I think. They are amazing creatures but the trip was quite strange. Swimming with dolphins sounds relaxing but they stop and you quickly have to jump out and swim, then get quickly back on the boat and contine the search. I managed to see them under the water and it was quite special, but chasing the dolphins around was very enjoyable. We are now back in Stone Town, wweather is still not very good so I think we're just going to walk around the town abit today, we leave Zanzibar tomorrow to head for Nairobi and our 5 day Safari which Im looking forward to. So we have our final eveing here tonight, the IB's are coming down (Bram, Rasmus, Lucas, Karen and Ilana) a\so we might have a night out, have to see,

Hope your all well

James
