You could try putting up a couple scratching posts and if you see her scratching, make her start scratching on the posts, take her lil paws and make her scratch scratch scratch until she starts using them.
There's also soft claws nail caps, which the local animal shelter swears by.

Also a product for scratchy and pissy cats:

Petco is good about returns so if it doesn't work I'm sure they would do a return and you could get your money back. I think Petsmart is the same.
Also, sticky paws, which just protects your furniture from the kitty:

I've heard of the sticky paws, but not of the spray stuff which sounds interesting...just expensive! but probably worth in it the long run. T hanks so much for the ideas :)
