Shopping In My Closet
It's funny that no matter how many costume ideas I cobble together, I tend to fall back on Marie for Halloween.
I may show up at the Middle East tomorrow dressed as Bo Peep. Still haven't decided upon that yet. My shift for tomorrow is mid day now, instead of opening which means that I'll have to bring my outfit to work and then change. At least I am having a fantastic week in sales. Doesn't change the fact that I'd rather be in NOLA right now.
I'm pretty disappointed that the new owner of Oona's never called me back. I heard that she's just having the boyfriends of her employees work this weekend for Halloween rush. The store's costume selection was pretty weak two and a half weeks ago when I went to let Elli know that I'd love to help out this year (like I have been for the last ten years). Yeah, I know, I normally take Halloween week off from Aldo and then go work at Oona's for extra pocket money to go out all week. Not this year. I had to go console myself at Great Eastern Trading Co., where the owner, Marlene told me that I should have come to see her and they could have used me.
I'll be out Sunday night though. Good news is that I don't have to work Tuesday, so I can actually enjoy going out to Ceremony without worrying about how I'm going to function the next day. Tuesday night is the Evan Dando/Juliana Hatfield show at Great Scott, and also Tuesday and Wednesday the Dresdon Dolls reunion shows.
