Back To Work Tomorrow and XMortis Photos!

So my staycation is almost over. Like the sentance hints at, mostly I stayed in and kept out of the heat. I did manage to pop down to DC for 36 hours for a client meeting with angldst. Sorry to my Baltimore/DC friends that I didn't tell you that I was coming down, it really was such a brief time and Donna and I needed to stay focused and get a lot of work done. The final outfits for Team Tawdry Tart are all mapped out and should be in my greedy hands by early August. *rubs hands together* I didn't plan on it, but I'll be co-ordinating with missjanette for one of the evenings. Between us, silentq and eveofdstruction we will have one hell of a photo op! Donna is also able to salvage one of my antique petticoats, but unfortunately, not the silk one, nor the purple 1870's underskirt. We could both hear the silk shredding as she gathered the skirt around my waist.

I finally had my physical which was long overdue. Details in one of my filters, but I still have no clue what is going on upstairs or downstairs. I will say that my blood sugars, thyroid and kidneys are fine.

I went to BBQs July 4th and 5th and had tons of fun, but sadly, could not go see the birthday boys in Canada. At least I'll get to see them on seperate occasions in August, so not all is lost. industrialsteve is having weekly craft nights which started this past week, so I'll use them to do random clothing repairs and reinforce the hook and eyes of two things that I'm bringing to Park City that I don't want popping open on me in the middle of the dance floor.

The only club night that I managed to hit was XMortis: Forbidden Planet. I had so much fun dancing that I almost ruined my knee! The best was Chris Ewen's last set of the night, where we had requested the B52's "Planet Clare", A Flock Of Seagulls "Space Age Love Song" and The KLF's "Doctorin' the Tardis". Not only did he play them all, he added David's Bowie's "Ashes To Ashes" and Bauhaus's cover of "Ziggy Stardust"! I even danced to most of Shivar's first set, which is shocking to most of my Boston friends.

Photos from XMortishttp://www.flickr.com/photos/29987679@N08/sets/72157624472895074/ I originally was going to wear my strapless orange neoprene dress with matching wig, but it's been 85 to 98 degrees in Boston and T.T.'s is a bloody sauna! Thankfully, my W< dress fits again so I wore that.

Back to the room cleaning and life organizing!
