Some recent introspection

"I guess in the end, things seldom work out how you planned them" I got that one from a TV show just a few minutes ago. It kinda applies to the rest of this. "You should always try to do what's going to make you happy, because NO ONE will ever do what it takes to make you happy at their expense.. Everyone out there is watching out for their own happiness and leaving you to worry about your own."
--- This is simply untrue. There was a time that I would wake up at 5:00AM every morning so that I could walk 30 mins out of my way to this girl's busstop to wait with her for about 1-4 mins until her bus picked her up, still having to walk another 30 mins to school. You cannot say that I did not make her happy at my own expense. Sure, I could have just seen her after school and all, but I wished to give her something to remember, a good memory to look back on when she's older to make her smile. Another time, I walked about 90 mins to pick up my bike at a friend's so that I could ride it to Connelsville on a Sunday Night before school. All this to throw rocks at a girl's window to make her happy because she missed me. Those are ~just two~ examples from my own experience, other people have gone far out of their way to make me happy wanting nothing in return. I probably wouldn't have said a thing had it not been for the capitilization and emphasis on "no one". ;)
