reminder to all my Boston area fannish friends. I'd love to see you at the picnic monday.
NESFA is hosting a picnic for the fannish community in and around Boston. Here is the info from the NESFA website.
Sep 5 NESFA picnic at The Shelter (a covered area with 6 grills and 8 tables) at Larz Anderson Park in Brookline, 3 pm to 7:30pm. Note that dogs & hibachis are not allowed in this area. All fans are welcome.
In more detail. The shelter is a covered eating and grilling area near the parking lot. NESFA is going to be providing fire in the pits so people can burn their offerings to the grilling ghods. Some burgers, buns, soda and bottled water, ice in coolers, some condiments, paper plates and disposable forks.
You should bring: Your fun selves. Suitable outdoor toys for playing. Some food for yourself, if you don't like burgers, and food to share, such as side dishes or dessertish things. Anything you bring to share should have ingredients and kosherness listed, as some folks have dietary restrictions.
If you are not sure if you are invited, you are invited.
