Publication: CRACKED Magazine #2 10/2006

10/20/2006 - The new issue #2 of the revamped CRACKED magazine is officially out on newsstands everywhere. I haven't received my subscription copy or a contributor copy in the mail yet, but I found and captured a live specimen in the wild at Borders today.

Thanks, Justin! And break a leg tonight! I've got "Scream Theatre" going on with Flint City Theatre this weekend and next, so I won't get out to see your show unless I can hit a Sunday matinee. But I'll let you know if we can make it.

It's o.k. if you miss this one. Tennessee Williams is not for everyone and my part isn't huge. I'm still really happy you came out to Beauty and the Beast. What's Scream Theatre?

Scream Theatre is pretty cool - it's basically 75 minutes of Halloween reader's theatre, presented like an old-fashioned radio show with live sound effects. This is the first year I've been involved, but it's been going on for several years now up in Flint. Great fun.

Very cool. I directed a senior citizen's program for a couple of years where we did old time radio broadcasts with sound effects and what not. We did live shows and also radio broadcasts, and, given my temperment, we generally did things like Tell Tale Heart that were scary. :) It's quite fun to do theater like that.
