Counting Three Chickens

I normally don't blog about upcoming projects, preferring to wait until they actually see the light of day, because there's never any certainty in this business - venues shut down, material gets bumped, editorial directions change. But there's a critical mass of exciting (to me, anyway) near-future stuff going on, so I thought I'd mention these three items today.

1. ME, LIVE IN THE BIG APPLE!
I'll be in New York City on August 28th to perform something funny (not sure what yet, but I'm trying to work up a passable David Sedaris impersonation) with friends and colleagues at the Yankee Pot Roast/DrinkAtWork joint party and public reading. Details will follow soon for NYC-based friends.

2. CRACKED MAGAZINE RETURNS!
It's finally official - on August 15, the venerable humor magazine comes back to newsstands after a hiatus of more than two years. I don't have anything in this premiere issue, but I do have some material contracted for the second and third issues, so it's good news that the oft-delayed launch is underway. Looks to be a strong comeback, too - a sneak preview can be seen here.

3. NATIONAL LAMPOON'S NOT FIT FOR PRINT!
I also have a thoroughly tasteless piece slated for National Lampoon's new Not Fit For Print anthology, which is scheduled for September 19 release and is available for preorder at Amazon.com.
