Day ten of 180, first homework due, 3 out of 20 completed it, what i really was blown away by was the excuses. I mean , I gave them a half hour in the morning to check it over, and they still handed it in half done, part done, some done, and the excuses were all the same, I didn't understand, we were busy...ad nauseum. So, the only way to get them to believe that you will implement consequences is to....well....implement consequences...
So, there they were, all 15 of them, morosely sitting out first recess, while they completed their homework.
I am such an ogre
Anyway, I need to overplan. When I run out of things to do for the day, they smell escape!

Can I get a stuffed animal
Can we eat in your room
I can't find a pencil
What do we do when we are done
