So my theory goes as follows:
1) Harry is beholden to Mab as her Winter Knight. However, we know that the Mantle of the Knight returns to the Queen at the Knight's death.
2) Harry has Soulfire, which allows him to power magic with his soul.
3) Kinkaid is the one who suggested that sniping is one of the best ways to kill a Wizard.
4) Knowing all that, Uriel hires Kinkaid to do a hit on Harry, perhaps even with Ivy's approval.
5) After a brief stint as a ghost, Harry goes "Duh!" as realizes he can re-create his body using Soulfire, dodging all of his debts to magical superpowers in the process (was his deal with Lea of the "until you die" kind too?).
I foresee the appearance of Ms. Gard early in the book, and Cowl closer to the end.
