Producer Piers Wenger confirms that this game is canonical and counts as an episode of S5, revealing that the adventure will feature the return of the Dalek Emperor, as well as partially take place in Kaelann, capital city of Skaro, marking the planet's first official appearance in New Who, as well as its first appearance since the Fourth Doctor story Destiny of the Daleks outside of a brief shot in the Eighth Doctor TV Movie.
