For the last two weeks I have been slowly developing a Dalek to resemble the one featured in the new series 5 trailer. However, as I have been repainting my toy, a new story has been forming in my head. I highly doubt anything that I will write about this particular Dalek will relate to the new series, at all. However, because he still has the colour scheme for the new Daleks, I am warning for spoilers.
This picspam/story is to show off the new add-ons for my new Dalek friend. Oh, his name is Dalek Flak VII. I know that I have Skaro II pronounced as "Skaro the Second", but Dalek Flak VII is pronounced, "Dalek Flak Seven."
It is the winter of 1944 in the Ardennes forest. The Daleks, having allowed an alliance with the Waffen-SS, have learned that the Doctor is about in the forest. Dalek Flak VII is sent into the forest to aid in his capture but loses his unit when they are attacked by Allies. Dalek Flak VII pursues the Doctor, ignoring the mortars that are exploding throughout the area. The smoke hangs low to the ground, mixing with the building fog of the early evening. The Dalek emerges through the fog to find the Doctor laying unconscious on the ground.
Dalek Flak VII prods the Doctor, chattering at him in German for him to wake up. When the Doctor doesn't respond, Flak VII fears the worst and nearly goes hysterical in fear of the punishment he will surely recieve from the Special Weapons Dalek back at camp.
When Malcolm Taylor appears, Flak VII orders him to make the Doctor regenerate. Malcolm checks the Doctor's pulse and finds that whilst he is still alive, he is still badly hurt. Malcolm pleads with the Dalek to have pity on the Doctor and get him help. To his amazement, Flak VII commands Malcolm to fetch the blanket from his pack and keep the Doctor alive whilst he signaled for help.
Malcolm, still shocked over the Dalek's compassion, quickly moves to the Dalek and takes out the blankets from the pack. Keeping an eye on the Dalek, Malcolm covers the Doctor.
"Use the bandages!" Dalek Flak VII commands suddenly, having never taken his eyestalk off of the Doctor. "It is in the pouch next to the ammo! Obey! Obey!"
Gritting his teeth to keep from rolling his eyes at the Dalek, Malcolm replies quietly, "How appropriate for you..."
After retrieving the bandages, Malcolm tends the Doctor's wounds as best as he can. Dalek Flak VII watches him carefully but says nothing.
Shelling resumes, but it is more distant. The Dalek turns its eyestalk towards the sound but remains quiet. It is only when the mortars stop exploding that the Dalek replies in an unmistakable regretful voice, "They are not coming. We are alone, all alone."
