Baking bread
Baking some bread for the first time in ages. Just a basic white loaf. I have the kids helping, which makes it slower and more interesting in various ways, both enjoyable and less so.
At the moment we're waiting for the dough to rise. I took adavantage of the waiting time to tell Tyrannosaurus Lex and GodZoe that the most important part of the process was quietly reading while the dough rose.
*happy sigh*
It's blissfully quiet at the moment. Won't last, but even five minutes is nice.
Can't wait until we get to punching down the dough - they're going to love that!
