I got mine today, thanks!aragorn_readerDecember 14 2004, 11:31:58 UTC
I love it, what a great card! Thank you so much!
And no rush on the tapes. I'm just about finished listening to a 12-set tape of LotR from The Mind's Eye that I got at the flea market for $10. It definitely tilts into Monty Python at times, with an orc speaking like Peter Lorre, many American accents, incl. Frodo, and egregiously bad pronunciation (e.g., DenEthor, LegOlas, and my favorite, SarUman!).
They seem to have used a stock medieval background noises suite because there are horses neighing, people going 'ay (not pronounced like I, but A), and crows cawing at random times. It's all rather unsettling compared to the unabridged version, which I truly appreciate now. Kind of a Ralph Bakshi abridged version, if you know what I mean. Makes dear old Robert Stephenson look positively canonic by comparison!
As soon as I finish checking my F-list, time to watch RotK ee!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, dearie! Consider them holiday or New Year cards and don't cause yourself undue stress!
I do a couple, and if I get a card I send one back, but... I dunno. If I want to tell someone merry christmas i'll do it in person, and the family are taken care of with the ones my parents send out, so i can't be bothered.
having no friends kinda helped get into the habit too - last year i gave nobody a card lmfao.
I'm not actually commenting on this - just wanted to get in touch. :-) Are you okay, sweetheart? It's just that you said you weren't feeling too good & now you seem to be missing. *worried look*
Awww baby *hugs* Am fine, went out last night and wasn't at home to go online - haven't read GG from yesterday yet - will be there in a min though! Having domestic crisis as well....
