Drabble - Resurrection

I wasn't sure if there were going to be any more. This is for you, my love, because it is possible to say much in relatively few words...

He was lost. He was so lost he thought he would never find his way back but you were there. You were always there, just that he stopped seeing you. But you were his light in dark places when all other lights ( Read more... )

...when the rest of the world recoiled you embraced him.

I can visualize so many things when I read this drabble. I can see Frodo in the Tower of Cirith Ungol, and when I read this line in particular it makes me think of Samwise ministering to Frodo's physical wounds.

I love how you begin the work with He was lost and end it with he's kept the hope alive. The reader begins in the darkness and shortly finds their way into light and into hope.

So much can indeed be said with an economy of words.

I very carefully keep the identities of the You and He to myself, ergo they can be anyone. But I never thought of Frodo and Sam before.

This does say very much in relatively few words. They speak of so much - the dedication 'you' has towards 'Him' and the love they share even when He has descended into the dark places where there is only one light. That 'you' can be repaid by one small expression finishes it off neatly - you've told of the whole relationship in one sentence.

=) *hugs* Brilliant.

As always.

Thanks baby, I find myself wanting to explore further and the drabble is, I feel, an undersung discipline.

He survived?

I know I'm reading my own meaning into your words but since you are allowing that freedom with the absence of names than I will take such liberties.
