Things that all happen in succession, or, An Exercise in Chronology

Phone: My phone is still broken, but I'm supposed to be getting some new hi-tech sleek Motorola number today. It took me several phone calls (including a bout at the Mockingbird Rail Station) and a few e-mails to get it today. I can't wait to store 200 phone numbers again.

Halloween: Although celebrated by everyone I know, I still don't feel enthused about the holiday. I never have. I'v always been so indecisive when it comes to dressing up. When I was a kid, my parents dressed me up as Oscar the Grouch. I was basically painted green with two to three packages of cheap face paint from Wal-Mart, and a garbage can with the bottom cut out. I still have faint scars from the jagged edge of the garbage can cutting into my cherub-like legs. I'll never forget having to walk Big Lake in the middle of the night with a flashlight and a pillowcase full of candy, bleeding into my shoes and trying not to cry.

Publishing: Georgetown Review, Low Fidelity Press, Alligator Juniper. That's about all I'm submitting to.

Bohemian Grove: I've been reading alot on Bohemian Grove in Monte Rio, California. There's a great article on Bohemian Grove written by Joel Van der Reijdan.
