It was her longest and most exhaustive performance: Artist
Marina Abramović sat on a chair at MoMa, 75 days during the 7,5 opening hours of her great retrospective The Artist is Present (March 14 - May 31, 2010). She didn't move, she didn't speak, apparently more and more exhausted.
Visitors could take a seat on the chair opposite to her, to return her calm look.
Some stayed only minutes, some hours. Few of them returned again and again. Many broke out in tears.
