P-pop and Ryo + kid cuteness overload
It's been awhile since I posted videos here, haha :D
FIRST, I present to you all the first ever P-pop band-- XLR8. If you're wondering what the effinduhell 'P-pop' is, if you guessed Pinoy pop THEN YOU'RE RIGHT. \o/ XLR8 isn't an acronym but simply another way to say 'accelerate' (or so the band claims. What the heck could XLR stand for anyway? ....Xtra Large... Rootbeer?) Plus the band has 8 members. WITTY INNIT. XD
And now here is their first single, 'You're So Hot'. (Hey, no puns on the title. I've seen WORST ones.)
I know, I know, the song sounds K-poppish and the video looks K-poppish and their clothes and everything and-- but you know what, I don't mind. XD Heck, Filipino music hasn't ever been original since-- ever. Besides, I'd take XLR8 songs over stupid bossa nova remakes of Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance' (YES, WE HAVE THOSE HERE. NO I WILL NOT LINK YOU.) Plus! ...these kids can actually sing. AND dance. AND look good! (Except there's this one dude who looks ugly, but we all know there's gotta be the token ugly member in there somewhere.)
So yes. Say ewwwww all you want but I just want to say this: I SUPPORT XLR8. HAHAHA XD Hey, if we Pinoys can love J-pop and K-pop and whatever-pop-have-you out there, why not love your own?

And can I just say how totally sold I am on this movie? Never mind that article already bashing it for the stupid-sounding title and stupid-looking plot because this movie looks like it's going to be fantastically and hilariously stupid as it features the following (based from what I understand from the trailer anyway since it doesn't have subs):
- Ryo apparently doing a lot of sexyyelling;
- Ryo making the kid cry with his yelling;
- the kid apparently yelling a lot also because of Ryo's yelling?
- can I say how much I crack up every time Tomosaka Rie jumps when Ryo yells for the nth time I've watched the trailer?
- Ryo with facial hair;
- RYO AND HIS HAIR;
- Ryo carrying the kid on his back omg I die from the cute;
- Ryo doing laundry with the kid?
- RYO BAKING;
- RYO IN SEXY SAMURAI ACTION;
- the kid doing cute samurai action;
- that glance between Ryo and Tomosaka Rie, COME ON;
And lastly--
- THE KID LOOKS LIKE A MINI-MASSU. (that's a shoutout to you, sinonymity)
I can't believe the showing is in JULY. SERIOUSLY wondering if I could possibly be there to actually see it for my birthday. XDDD
