Two random things to remember and ponder

And now for the more interesting thing: i was pondering many "deep" and interesting things today. i got on the topic of industrial-organizational psychology and colours with Timo and i said, "i want to be one of those people who hears color, or feels color, or tastes sounds" and quickly googled it to remember the word - synesthesia (He was convinced it was people on drugs!) That would be really cool. But this question burned in my mind, as i'm ever pondering the strangest things: if a person with synesthesia is blind, but they learn to associate certain tastes with certain colors due to either having once been able to see or a person telling them what color it is, or whatever other reason, then can i hand them a red ball and have them hear (taste, smell, or whatever) that it is red?
