Happy Gradimication, Anna!
I'm pretty excited that this month is finally ending. My summer class was mostly enjoyable, although at times I felt that I should correct the sweeping over-generalizations made by my graduate student professor. Today he was talking about this article he read about the knights Templar. According to this article, the arch of the Basillica in Montreal has a part of the tetragrammaton, only part of it, though-- instead of Y H V H it only has H V H. Then he said that's how you spell/say Eve's name in Hebrew and was about to make some startling break through... but it was really bugging me and I had to correct him. Her name isn't Hava, it's Chava.. it's spelled with a completely different letter. If the tetragrammaton was Y Ch V H then it would be right... but that's just bad scholarship.
And this leads me to some exciting news. I won an academic prize! I had the highest mark in my Biblical Hebrew class. I get $200! yess!
