Summary: My take on what goes on between Titan's defeat and the opening of the Megamind Museum. Megamind is made of some tough stuff, but there's a reason he was afraid of Titan.

( Roxanne has a lot on her mind, a lot to think about, and when she finally, finally manages to escape the crowds and reporters and go home, she wants nothing more than to take a hot shower and go to sleep. )

Firstly, I love you because you used the expression 'piss up a rope'. That immediately makes you win.

But you keep winning because this is good writing! I really like Roxanne's explanations for her reactions and her feelings after the Bernard/Megamind reveal. Very much like the 'Megamind tends to short circuit when surprised' revelation.

I love Roxanne in this but I think my favourite characterisation is definitely Minion! I've read a few things where I think authors have made Minion a bit TOO subservient in the way he speaks. I keep coming back to the fact that David Cross voices him, and he's anything BUT. He's the helper, sure, and polite, of course, but he's a massive smartmouth, too. And I think you've really tapped into that.

I'll probably get a chance to read more at work but not reply there. You have my promise that I shall continue, though :) Great first chapter!

Eeee, why thank you!! You'd think Megamind would eventually get used to surprises, but apparently not! I'm also really glad you liked Minion in here; characterization is one of my major worry points.

it's TRUE. It's awesome :D

I think with his big brain, all his planning revolves around his ideas panning out, and he doesn't actually plan for many contingencies. (even with the whole 'death' of metro man... you can argue that part of the plan was that metro man was going to defeat him, that was the end of the plan. When that didn't happen, he fell into a bit of chaos)

Minion = awesome. That's it.

Ahhhhhh yes that makes sense! He's thought of everything, so why would anything go wrong? What happened to Metro Man completely blindsided him because it was so unforseeable. Ahaaa. Yes.
