The first time around I played Lords of the Realm III, I didn't care for it that much. Actually, I preferred the game play of LOR II, and LOR III just didn't run that well on my laptop. Since I started using my new desktop however, I've really begun to appreciate the game. Right now I'm playing as the Irish, allied with Robert the Bruce and the Houses of Gwynedd/Gloucester (Wales) and seriously
sticking it to Longshanks and Percy. I started out by unifying all of Ireland and then used my safe passage with House of Gwynedd to ship some armies over and took the area as far as Straffordshire and Lincolnshire
effectively cutting England in half. I then split my forces and sent one north and the other south. No
severe losses so far.
When I'm finished with this campaign I'll probably play it again, once as Scottland and then as England. I just had to give me
fightin' Irish the first round. :-P
Went back to work today after a week's vacation. Nice to already be heading into the weekend again, the development cycle is going to start picking up soon, and
working weekends and late weekdays is just around the corner.
