To the one that owns another's heart, never return it, never break it and never lose it. When it is returned to the original owner it is something that you will never be able to hold again. And should you ever get that chance, it is never the same. When you give it back, nothing is ever the same. Feelings are hurt, lives are destroyed and negative emotions begin to fill you both, turning what was once love into rage. When a heart is broken, then all hope is lost for mending it is near impossible. Apologies mean nothing to someone with a broken heart and they will rip everything they have for you away faster than you can blink. Not only are you breaking the heart you hold but you are hurting yourself in the process for that person will turn the love they had for you into a need for revenge. Everyone knows you don't want to step in between someone that has had their heart broken and the one that broke it. If you ever lose the heart you hold, then you have lost more than you will ever know. You've lost the one person in the world that loved you more than any other. The one person that would gladly give their life to save yours. The one person that is there at three AM when you just need a hug. When it comes down to it, if you ever lose someone's heart, you've lost yourself.
