Update for a Wednesday
We are coming up on the Swordplay extravaganza(?) this Saturday and I 'm feeling decently prepared. Feedback from Chris last night was really great and he ahd no technical or interpretive issues. He was really excited about some of the things were were doing in the scene (as well as the choice of weapons for it) and he has given us some good ideas to make it even tighter. Since this is the first time Ken and I are doing a scene like this one it will certainly get better as we go. Hopefully we will get this one taped for the rapier dagger cert for me. Chris didn't think there would be a problem.
And this leads me to my next comment. I like to send a big F-you out to all of those people who (and you know who you are) said I couldn't fight, couldn't act and are generally really A-holes to me whenever it comes time for a performance. You're my friends? Right! I'm sick of being overlooked, underrated and just generally ignored. Yes, I'm not 24 and 125 pounds anymore, but I'm pretty good for my age and certainly not fat & ugly. I keep hoping you'll all be gracious, but since I'm not I guess you don't have to be either. Just a reminder that as an Italian I'll hold on to it forever, just waiting for the exact perfect time for my revenge. Love you all lots!
Lots of changes at work, some good and some bad, but we're busy at least and it makes it go faster. We're going through a restructuing and things are bound to get a little weird.
Steve and I bought a house across the street from us as an investment and it's actually really nice. Folks keep asking if we're moving (no) and all I can say is - Is my current home really that bad? I've got no kids and a dog and cat, so how much space can two adults need? Anyway, if anyone is interested, I've got a great place for rent with a 2 1/2 car garage, 1,900 square feet, 3 bedrooms, a fireplace in the master bedroom, fireplace in the living room and a deck with a righteous hot tub for rent at $1,800-2,000 a month. Oh - and did I mention Birmingham schools and the terrific beach club on our lake?
